Hello and nice to meet you!
My name is Anastasiia Bielik, and I am a children’s illustrator and author. My creative journey began quite late, after I finished school and chose to study economics. However, I quickly realised that working with money didn’t bring me joy, and at some point, I decided to completely change my life.
I first delved into creativity through pressed floristry — working with dried plants. I created artwork using flowers and leaves, and later became fascinated with pencil portraits. In 2013, I took my first steps into digital art, and since then, my career as an illustrator has been developing. I’ve taken courses, learned new techniques, and started collaborating with self-publishing authors.
One of the significant milestones was my collaboration with the publishing house Usborne, where I illustrated for the book "One Little Chick". This collaboration became possible thanks to my art agency Beehive Illustration, which supports me in growing as an artist and gaining experience working with large publishers.
In 2024, I launched my very own book series, "Juliet's Stories", which tells the adventures of a sweet dog named Juliet. The series consists of 7 books, two of which have already been published, with the remaining 5 set to be released in 2025.
These books are aimed at young children and are perfect for introducing them to the world around them, holidays, and the changing seasons. I’ve become deeply passionate about authorship and am sure that this won’t be my last series!
I find inspiration in children’s fairy tales, the magic of light, old houses, nature, and children. I love drawing animals, especially dogs.
Six years ago, my husband, son, and I moved from Ukraine to Estonia, and we now live in a village near Tallinn.
When I’m not working on my books, I love taking walks in the forest or by the sea with our poodle, Ellie.
